Stalling Dawn

Stalling Dawn is a band apart in the current Tampa music scene. Not heavy, not easy listening, not too simple, and not overly challenging to listen to, the band has one major goal; to write the music they wish they were hearing on the radio.

A foursome comprised of Jesse Morris (vocals and guitar), Jim Fell (guitar), Mitch Bianco (bass), and Jack Kelley (drums), the band has seen it's share of ups and downs. Started by Jim and Jesse their freshmen year of high school, Stalling Dawn has gone through several iterations trying to find the voice most appropriate.

Now, 11 years later, the group has had to struggle with band members leaving, stealing, and fighting with cancer but has always managed to come out ahead of any set backs.

They've had the opportunity to play with such great artists as Paper Tongues, 3OH!3, AWOLnation, Hoobastank, 3rd Eye Blind, Seven Mary Three, Cartel, Skid Row,, and many others. They've had the opportunity to work with Tom Morris, legendary Tampa music producer, who's influenced the boy's sound and approach to music more than any other single source.

After recording an album in 2010, the band is getting ready to get back into the studio with some new material and is poised to become one of the largest bands Florida has ever produced.
