Enrollment is now open for our first round of courses this Fall! Recording 101 starts September 25th, so reserve your seat today!
In recent years, the recording process has taken a decisive shift from being a primarily one-facility process to a multiple-facility process with a significant amount of the work occurring at home in an informal setting. Advances in technology have made it possible and cost-effective to record your project from the convenience of your own home, which is fantastic if you have even the slightest idea of what you are doing. If not, it can be a nightmare that can sacrifice the quality of your album and cost you financially as well.
Our Recording 101 course is designed to help you avoid the common pitfalls of home recording by instructing you on the best practices and techniques to tackle your project successfully. You will gain hands on experience working with digital audio workstations, microphones, drums, guitars and analog consoles.
Students will spend approximately 30 hours split between the classroom and studios learning:
- Principals of Recording
- Mixing Techniques
The next six sessions of Recording 101 begin on September 25th, 2012. Space is limited, so reserve your seat today! Here’s the course schedule:
